£1.6m to Help Tackle Bus Pollution in York

Conservative led City of York Council is set to invest £1.6million in a new Clean Air Zone (CAZ) in York, which is aimed at improving exhaust emissions from local bus services.

The Government has confirmed that a major upgrade to the East Coast Main Line through York will go ahead, part of a £750m upgrade that will see a major investment in new platforms, tracks, signals and junctions, to be completed in the early 2020s.
