Councillor - Bishopthorpe ward

Michael Nicholls is the Councillor for Bishopthorpe where he has lived for 10 years with wife and two youngest daughters.  He would describe it as the best place you could wish to live with a host of local amenities, services, and activities.  Michael was elected to City of York Council for the first time in May 2023. He sits on the licencing committee and is Chairman of Children, Culture and Communities Scrutiny Committee.  He has also member of Bishopthorpe Parish Council for 7 years to help contribute to this great place to live.

In his spare time Michael supports his hometown team of Scunthorpe United, loves a days horse racing and is captain of Bishopthorpe Bowls A team.
